Spiritual Direction:
A questing process in which the individual explores his or her inner life,
particularly the relationship with the divine,
with a focus on the direction in which life is moving,
in a mutual trust relationship with a companion guide:
who reflects with the questor, but does not hint or guess,
who encourages, but does not push,
who prays, but does not command prayer,
who professes faith, but respects fully the faith of the questor.
