New Delhi – Culture
The Indian city of New Delhi boasts of a rich heritage. This varied heritage in New Delhi is reflected in his art, crafts, music and dance.

At Anand Gram in Qutab-Mehrauli in New Delhi Sans Kriti Kendra, a serene sprawling sanctuary for artists, craftsmen, as well as visitors. Craft
A city that boasts at least seven incarnations will have more to talk about than just old monuments in various stages of ruin. Not surprisingly, Delhi has a rich heritage of crafts patronized by emperors of yore.
Shahjahanabad, Old Delhi, as they say today is the richest of heritage. Not only because it is closest to us chronologically, but also because the Mughal were great patrons of the arts and crafts. Go to Matias Mahal's Pahadi Bhojla and you will find umpteen shops jewelers who fashion beautiful bangles and necklaces out of bone. Their predecessors were ivory craftsmen. But with the ban on ivory they were forced to change their ingredients and switching to leg buffaloes and camels instead.
Creating magic with golden thread embroidery or euphoria with semi-precious stones, there is zardozis in the neighborhood. Zardozi is the art of embroidery with gold thread. These craftsmen work intricate designs on silk, velvet, and even tissue materials. Marks pulpit cover embroidery on the dress of bishops and even the Pope are all created here.
The medicinal value of silver paper (varak) are well known. Thin sheets of silver paper are still wrapped around sweets and even betel leaves. If you are looking for the authentic one, go to Matias Mahal in New Delhi again. A few of the craftsmen who beat silver into thin sheets, by hand, still live here. Once there were so many of them that you could just follow the sound of hammer and achieve them. Today you do a little asking around to reach some small workshops.
The famous meenakari work where paint is embossed on silver or gold for to create the appearance of a gem that was once a thriving business of Shahjahanabad. Turbulence in Delhi, ever since Nadir Shah and later colonial rule, pushed the artisans away to peaceful climes. This group moved partly Rajasthan, while those who make bracelet from lac moved to Hyderabad in the Deccan.
Lacquer work Bracelets is one of the old art forms still living in Shahjahanabad. Bright shades of yellow, red and blue are perked up with tiny pieces of mirrors and gold-colored borders with beads to add that extra touch.

Then there is the India International Centre on Lodhi Road, which offers very good programs. In the cooler months, many dance and music festivals organized and every corner New Delhi is alive with different interpretations of the movement and sound.
But if it is optimistic Gyration you prefer, then put on your dancing shoes and be ready to rock the night at one of Delhi's many exclusive dance clubs. These clubs are located within New Delhi's five star hotels such as Maurya Sheraton (Ghunghroos), Le Meridien (CJ's), Hilton (Annabelle's), Hyatt Regency (Oasis), Taj Palace (My Kind of Place) and Park Hotel (somewhere else). Houseguests and members can enter spared and the rest of Delhi (pairs only) have to pay for some fun. Each room is different from the other in its decor, music, lights and crowd.

Music
Music connoisseurs have a range of sounds to choose from in New Delhi. The auditoria where these concerts take place is the same as the dance programs. Whether Indian classical, Hindustani or Carnatic, or brighter Ghazal, there is no shortage of choice in New Delhi. After a particularly well-known singer comes to New Delhi, it is usually well covered by the press. The papers also reserve a column in their daily editions to display a list of programs for the day. These programs include not only the visual arts, but also lectures on a wide range of topics that scholars or luminaries in that area. To see the craftsmen in the city and country makes their products must go to the crafts museum in Pragati Maidan and Dilli Haat. They try to show this kind of original talent and let the craftsmen benefit from their skill at same time.
