Media Centre Extenders. Is there a media extender, you can store your videos, pictures and music directly?
I bought a brand new home entertainment. I try to use what I have for a Media Center Extender. PS3 is a media extender, but I can not put my music pictures and movies on it directly. I do not want to keep all this data on my laptop. Although I would like to keep this open for use. Then there is a standalone Media Center Extender, that I can store all my media files. I would prefer sony only because I am a neat freak and likes to have my equipment match. Sony XBR has a BRAVIA Internet Link adapter is a media extender, which you can watch movies and what no, but no storage. Thank you.

You can store files on the PMD and then put them on the extender as needed. You can use PMD for both media files and backups.
