how does this influence your ability to get into an ivy league? (yale, harvard, cornell, etc.)?
i have a 3.94 unweighted, 200+ hours of community service, gold medal percussionist, composed music, started two service clubs, United Way leadership award, go to a prestigious jesuit high school, 35 on ACT and 2100 on SAT, multiple varsity sports, top 10% of nationally ranked high school, and i have a friend who has pretty much the same app. but he knows very influential people at these schools who donate money and have buildings named after them (he won the gene pool i guess) be brutally honest, what are my chances at these schools? and what are his chances at these schools? thanks in advance
You will be competitive if your raise your SAT to 2250. His chances are the same as yours unless he is a close relative of someone who has bought the rights to name a building.
