Where can I sell my Van Gogh paintings?
I am trying to sell 2 oil on canvas paintings by the infamous Vincent Van Gogh. The name of the painting are “Old Pleasant (Patience Escalier)”, and “Oleanders”. I also have a painting by Raoul Dufy named “Chamber Music”, and a painting by Auguste Renoir named The Mosque at Algiers. All of them are in frames and in good condition. Does anyone know where I would be able to sell these paintings??
I’m not exactly sure if these paintings or the originals or reproductions.
Van Gogh painted the same subject matter many times. For example here are several Van Gogh Oleanders:

If you paintings look exactly like any of these, brushstroke for brushstroke, they are mass reproduced copies.
In fact why don’t you goggle all of the paintings. If you find the paintings on-line and they match yours line for line guess waht? Yours are the copies. If yours do not match, or if there are no Dufys or Reniors with the same title than you might have something worth big $$$$$$!!!!
If so the next step is to make an appointment and take all of your paintings to a College or museum in the closest big city.
The third step in the process is if you think they are real you can email me through YA and I’ll give you the name of my contacts at Christie’s and Sotheby’s.
Both are excellent firms who will treat you right.
A representative of Christie’s once flew to my house in Ohio to look at a painting I was not sure about. They paid all the expenses for the shipping and authentication of experts in NY. Of course, I listed the work with them.
I don’t discount people finding treasures. A professor of mine bought two rare and valuable pieces at a porch sale for $10.00. And the story of 73 year old woman truck driver Terry Horton buying a Jackson Pollock at a thrift store for $5.00 is well known. She has been offered millions.
The last step in the process is If any of your paintings are real and you sell them for a bundle don’t forget your YA buddies like “Sport”.
