What’s the most versatile guitar?
I want to know what’s the most versatile guitar ever made.
The one that works the best for all styles.
In my opinion, it’s the Music Man John Petrucci 7-string model.
It’s got great sound for any styles, plus, it’s got 7 strings so it works for death metal and stuff like that.
I would say the Ibanez JEM (my favorite guitar) but it’s only got 6 strings.
I’m pretty sure there’s no real answer. Some people are just so talented or skilled that it doesn’t matter what they use, it will sound great. Given a 30 year old pawn shop no-name guitar, John Petrucci will shred circles around the next guy with a $5000 ESP.
All the same, I think Ibanez RGs are pretty versatile. Old school Gibsons, ES335 and the like, are versatile as well. They’re often loud before you even plug them in.
