Learning to "center" play (preschool)?
Hey, guys! I am a preschool teacher, and I'm working on some new things in my classroom, one is posting a learning poster in each of my learning areas in my classroom. I know in my own head what children learn from each area during free play, but I'm not good at expressing it. I would like to find a site professionally and technically explain what they learn science, dramatic play, blocks, art, music, mathematics, and sensory experiences tables. I googled it but did not get much luck. So I came here hoping one of you intelligent people might know a website where I can find it. Thanks ahead of time! It is much appreciated. =)
I know of a website, but I have some experience with preschoolers. In my opinion, Home Center 's goal is to role-play socialization, the Block Center is to promote spatial relationships and geometric understanding of mathematical concepts Art Center is to promote individual expression and creativity, Science Center is to promote exploration and discovery of the world they live in the Music Center promotes auditory learning and discrimination of different sounds, library or reading center is to foster love of books and self-expression in storytelling, The Sensory Center is to promote knowledge learned through the five senses, this center promotes the refinement of tactile, olfactory and taste senses mostly. You should also have a Writing Center that promotes fine motor skills, here scratches and doodles quickly become circles and lines, zigzags and dot to dot, it enhances eye hand coordination and promotes love the written word, stencils can be used in this center also. Hope this helped some. I am retired but I still love the small, and I love to interact as much as possible when I can volunteer my departments.
Math Through Music
Searching for online music creator software programs can be difficult. The web is crowded with music making software packages that aresound303066_mixing_desk geared for a variety of ability levels. And there is a wide variety of price tags as well. In my quest to find the best music making software, I’ve researched many of these “make your own music” offerings. In reality I’ve found that most of them are simply not worth the money. However, I’ve recently found a music creator program that is certainly worth the investment cost.
