Good ways to decorate my bedroom now I have it painted?
I’ve finally got my bedroom the colour I want it – The walls are hot pink and there is laminate wood flooring. It is quite a small room, but I would like to give it some sort of theme.
I am really into music, so maybe a music theme? If it helps, I have: A wardrobe, a set of drawers, two shelves and a bed. Any ideas would be appreciated!! Thanks
Without knowing what kind of music you like it is kind of hard to say. There would be a big difference between a rock and roll theme to a classical theme. One thing I can say is that I hope the furniture you have is white to add some light into your room.
I was thinking that if you do not have a headboard that you could make one out of either used cd’s or from new blank ones, I think that the prism-like quality of the backs would go very nicely with the hot pink. You could also use old cd’s as artwork. You could buy 3 or 5 (I like odd numbers) 11 x 14 black frames and using white felt as the background centre the cd(you could use the case or the actual cd, experiment and see how it looks) and hang it on the wall. If you are going rock and roll, you could use sequins and beads to decorate the edges of pillows, bedspreads and curtains. If you like more classical, using black to edge things would be a nice touch. Good luck
